Moto 3 World Championship Leader David Alonso collabs with South African Rockers Faxxon

At just 18 years of age, David Alonso is already a superstar on the world motorcycle racing stage. The teen, who has dual Colombian/Spanish nationality, has sown promise in international competition from early on, and he claimed his first major international motorcycle racing title by winning the Hawkers European Talent Cup in 2020. He followed this up with championship honours in the hotly-contested Red Bull Rookies Cup the following year, and after making his mark in the FIM Junior GP class as well, his path was set to world championship racing in the Moto3 class.

Racing for the renowned Aspar team, David claimed four GP race victories in 2023, his first full world championship season. He scored four GP victories, propelling him to third int he final championship standings. He picked up where he left off in 2024, and thus far has been at the top step of a Grand Prix podium on five occasions, on the way to leading the championship at this stage of the season.

The racing industry and – media are abuzz about this remarkable talent, and there is precious little doubt that David is headed for the premier MotoGP class within the next couple of years.

This video of David features the new track “Good to Know Ya” by South African rock band Faxxon. Front man Jack Stone had graciously agreed to use his song ” The Rapture” in a video for Dutch MX2 star Kay de Wolf a few years ago. Kay currently leads the MX2 motocross world championship standings.
