James Daubeney was born in the UK in 1966 and grew up in South Africa in the early 70s. From an early age, he was fascinated by music and fell in love with rock and metal. Although he has had a successful career in Business his true passion has always been the music he grew up with. He started playing guitar in his early teens and has played in several bands over the years. His knowledge and insight into the bands that make the music he loves is extensive and it shines through in his writing and his Radio Show.

Following the success of his book, The Story of Rock and Roll, James started doing TSORR Radio Show weekly from midnight until 2 am every Friday morning on Local SA Radio Station Mix 93.8 FM. The show ran for two and a half years on Mix and is now bought to you weekly between 19h00 and 22h00 every Thursday evening on Rebel Rock Radio. The show features rock and metal from the late ’60s all the way through to present day. The TSORR podcast goes out weekly and is followed by listeners worldwide.
